About our Program

Crime Stoppers is a community program.

First Coast Crime Stoppers, Inc., is a civilian volunteer organization formed in 2002 to better serve the citizens of the First Coast in the fight against crime.  The Board of Directors is made up of concerned citizens who administer the program and promote community awareness.  FCCS operates with funds obtained through a special Florida Crime Stoppers Trust Fund grant and through monies donated and collected at fundraising events.

Why Do We Need Crime Stoppers?

Crime Stoppers is based on the principle that "someone other than the criminal has information that can solve a crime." It was created to combat three major problems faced by law enforcement: fear of reprisal; an attitude of apathy; and reluctance to get involved. Crime Stoppers resolves these problems by offering anonymity to people who provide information about crimes and by paying rewards when that information leads to an arrest.

Mission Statement

First Coast Crime Stoppers is one of over 1,000 nonprofit national and international programs enjoying great success in the fight against crime. The mission of the program is to receive information anonymously and pay rewards for tips leading to arrests. Crime Stoppers partners with law enforcement agencies, the media, and the community in solving crimes and getting criminals off the streets.
